# Common Error Codes and What They Mean

## Nordex CNC systems use diagnostic codes to identify faults quickly. Below is a list of common error codes and how to resolve them.

| **Code** | **Meaning** | **Recommended Action** |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **E01** | Axis overload | Reduce feed rate and reset motor driver |
| **E02** | Spindle not responding | Check spindle cable or replace motor fuse |
| **E03** | Overheating detected | Follow the *Spindle Overheating* guide |
| **E04** | Communication loss | Inspect Ethernet cables and switch ports |
| **E05** | Emergency stop active | Reset the E-stop and restart the control unit |

If the same error appears multiple times per shift, export your system logs and share them with our support team.
